2025 Edward R. Murrow Awards
Since 1971, RTDNA has been honoring outstanding achievements in broadcast and digital journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards. Among the most prestigious in news, the Murrow Awards recognize local and national news stories that uphold the RTDNA Code of Ethics, demonstrate technical expertise and exemplify the importance and impact of journalism as a service to the community.
RTDNA introduced the Student Edward R. Murrow Awards in 2015. The Student awards recognize individuals or teams of students for excellence in audio, video and digital reporting and newscasts.

Entries can be submitted after the deadline (5 p.m. Eastern) until midnight with a late fee of $50 per entry.
How to Submit Entries:
Method 1:
- On the left-hand side, click the button titled "Login with RTDNA". You will be redirected to RTDNA.org.
- Log in with your RTDNA.org account credentials.
- On successful login, you will be redirected back to this page.
- Click "Start Application" in the table below.
- Complete the entry form. All fields denoted with a red asterisk * are required.
- Confirm your entry information is correct and on the final page of the form, click Add to Cart.
- Once added to cart, you can then proceed to checkout. If you wish to enter additional entries, you can do so and return to your cart later. Your left-hand user menu will have an option for "In Cart" for your convenience.
- When you check out, if your membership status associated with your account is current, the cart will automatically apply the respective discounts to your cart/entries.
- On successful payment, you will have the ability to print and/or revisit your receipts via the "Invoices" option in your user menu.
Method 2:
- Click "Start Application" in the table below.
- You will be redirected to RTDNA.org to log in.
- Log in with your RTDNA.org account credentials.
- On successful login, you will be redirected back to the entry form.
- Complete the entry form. All fields denoted with a red asterisk * are required.
- Confirm your entry information is correct and on the final page of the form, click Add to Cart.
